Rapid chess tournaments in Sofia 5

Rapid is the tempo most Sofia events choose. Cup Milenium is the regular one: its editions are numbered past forty, the rows give ten minutes plus five seconds a move, and the restaurant on the lower level of the Millennium centre on Vitosha boulevard is the hall. The Bulgarian Chess League plays rapid in its Chess Battle days and in its corporate championships, where teams of colleagues sit down against other firms.

The two festivals held in private schools, Pitagor Elit and Herea Druzhba, are rapid days organised together with local clubs. The national university championships, in the canteen of the National Sports Academy, have rapid and rated sections for teams and individuals. Each tile shows the newest edition the pages give; a date printed ahead of time is shown as its notice wrote it.
